A Blessing for Parents during the Days of Omicron

Blessed are the parents who feel like the rest of the world is moving on while your whole world sits vulnerable in your lap, too young to be vaccinated. 

Blessed are the mamas, already so tired, unable to schedule sickness of any kind. 

Blessed are the breastfeeding moms for whom “mild” symptoms will be enough to deplete an already precarious milk supply. 

Blessed are the caregivers who can’t take more days, more and more and more days off work to wait for test results and quarantine times. 

Blessed are all those wondering if they still matter in this world that has decided “we’re all going to get it anyway.”
